How AI Saved My Thanksgiving (and My Bread!)

Hey there!

Welcome to the very first edition of my new newsletter, Found by AI — your Sunday scoop on how to make AI your business’s new best friend. And since it’s the holiday season, let me kick things off with a little Thanksgiving story.

🍞 How I Used AI to Save My Bread Recipe

My sister Molly hosted Thanksgiving this year (she lives super close, so thankfully we didn’t have to travel far). I was in charge of bringing mac n’ cheese, cinnamon apples, and, of course, bread.

Now, full disclosure: I jumped on the COVID sourdough train years ago… and never got off. S

Everything was going great until Thanksgiving morning, when I realized I was baking from memory — and I totally forgot to fold the dough.

(If you’ve ever made bread, you know:
👉 folding = airy structure + good texture.
👉 not folding = ???)

Here’s the recipe I use — it’s super simple and you don’t even need a starter.

For a second I panicked. I’ve never forgotten this step. Was the bread ruined?

So I did what any modern baker would do:
I asked ChatGPT.

“Hey, what happens if I forget to fold the dough for Ken Forkish’s Saturday White Bread recipe?”

It cross-referenced the recipe and replied:

“The dough may not rise as high and the texture could be slightly denser, but it should still bake into a perfectly delicious loaf.”

Phew.

And you know what?
It was — warm, chewy, golden, and absolutely delicious.

So why am I telling you this?

Because these little AI moments are exactly what I want to share with you every week. Sometimes it's about big business visibility strategies, and sometimes it's just about making life a little easier.

AI is here to help you do both.

➡️ This weeks tip: How to Use Advanced Voice Modes in ChatGPT

Now, for a little bonus treat, I want to introduce you to something super cool: advanced voice modes. If you’ve ever wished you could just talk to your AI assistant in a more natural way, this is your golden ticket.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open your ChatGPT app and go to the voice settings.
  2. Select an advanced voice mode that feels right for you—whether it’s something more conversational, professional, or even a little fun.
  3. Try asking a question or giving a command using your voice and see how the AI responds more naturally and smoothly.

It’s kind of like having a conversation with a super helpful friend who just happens to know a lot about everything. Give it a try and have some fun with it!

Cheers! Meg

P.S. If you enjoyed this little AI story, feel free to share it with a friend who wants to learn more about how AI can make life (and business) a little easier. The more, the merrier! See you next Sunday!

Most people think they have an SEO problem. What they actually have is a visibility problem with AI. I see this a lot. A business has: a solid website decent traffic clear services But when you ask ChatGPT or Gemini: 👉 “Who should I hire for this?” They don’t show up. Not because they’re not good. Because AI doesn’t understand or trust what it’s reading. I tested this recently on a few sites (including my own). And the pattern was consistent: weak or unclear About pages no structured answers...

1️⃣ One Story: I Finally Stopped Treating ChatGPT Like a Junk Drawer For a long time, my ChatGPT looked like my desktop in 2012. Random ideas. Half-finished prompts. Very important thoughts living next to nonsense. Every time I opened it, I knew I’d asked something useful — I just couldn’t find it. The solution for this: Projects. 2️⃣ One Visibility Tip: Projects Work Because of Instructions and Files Projects aren’t just folders. They’re context containers. Two things make them powerful:...

One story I reviewed a site this week for a service-based business that was frustrated they weren’t being recommended by AI. They had solid services. Good reviews. Decent traffic. But when I asked ChatGPT who they were and who they help… the answer was vague. Why? Their About page was doing what most About pages do: talking around the business listing credentials without context focusing on personality instead of clarity Humans could skim it and “get the vibe.”AI couldn’t tell who to...
